Empowering Wangaratta in a Changing Climate

A project which addresses the challenges a changing climate is presenting our local community and to highlight opportunities for local action.

Introduction

In September 2020, we were successful in applying for a Climate Ready Hume Mini Grant from DELWP to produce a series of videos – “Empowering Wangaratta in a Changing Climate”.

To introduce this project, WLS in partnership with the Ovens Landcare Network held a webinar on Environmentally Sustainable Design.

Informational Video Series

The videos below showcase the actions that some Wangaratta residents are already taking, and provide tips and ideas to inspire the wider community. They highlight how making better choices about our homes and our everyday consumption can create a cleaner, healthier and safer environment for each of us and our families, and reduce our impact upon the beautiful environment and biodiversity Wangaratta has to offer.
